Use Notion AI for Faster CS Documentation

Open Notion and navigate to any page. Notion AI is triggered in three ways:

1. Spacebar in an empty line → "Ask AI" input box appears
2. Highlight text → right-click → "Ask AI"
3. Click the AI icon (sparkle icon in the toolbar or sidebar)

What you should see: A text input with "Ask AI anything..." placeholder. This is your AI interface.

Create a new Notion page titled "[Customer Name]: Success Plan" In the empty page, press Spacebar and type:

"Generate a 6-month customer success plan for a [customer description] using [product type] to achieve [goal]. Include: executive summary, current state vs. target state, monthly milestones, KPIs to track, and recommended activities."

Click Generate. Notion AI writes the entire structure inline.

What you should see: A full success plan structure with placeholder headers and example content.

Review and customize:

• Replace placeholder goals with the customer's actual goals
• Update KPIs to use your product's actual metrics
• Add the specific stakeholder names and their priorities
• Adjust milestones to match your onboarding timeline

If you have an existing success plan template that has weak sections, use AI to improve them:

1. Select the weak section (e.g., your generic "Success Criteria" section)
2. Right-click → Ask AI → type: "Make this more specific and actionable. Add 3 measurable criteria a CSM would actually track."
3. Notion AI rewrites the section in place

Before: "Monitor customer adoption and ensure they are getting value from the platform." After: "(1) 70%+ of licensed seats active weekly by Day 60; (2) Core workflow completion rate >80% within 90 days; (3) NPS score ≥8 at first 90-day check-in."

After a customer call where you took scattered notes, use Notion AI to synthesize them:

1. Paste or type your raw call notes into a Notion page
2. Highlight all the notes
3. Right-click → Ask AI → "Summarize into: (1) key topics discussed, (2) customer concerns or feedback, (3) action items with owners and dates, (4) next steps"

What you should see: A clean, structured account note ready to copy into Salesforce or share with your team.

For emails and Loom scripts that you draft in Notion:

1. Write a rough description of what you want to say (even bullet points work)
2. Select it
3. Right-click → Ask AI → "Rewrite this as a professional email. Tone: warm and direct. Under 150 words."

Or, in an empty line: Spacebar → "Write a check-in email for a customer I haven't spoken to in 4 weeks who is approaching renewal. Tone: warm, not pushy."

Once you have AI-improved templates, save them as Notion Templates:

• Click "..." on any page → Turn into Template
• Name them: "Success Plan: Enterprise", "Onboarding Plan: SMB", "QBR Notes Template"

Build a "CS Templates" database with a gallery view. One click creates a new customer page from any template. Add a "Last Updated" property to track when templates were last refreshed. Use AI quarterly to modernize them.
